Milton B. “Buster” Scott, 87, formerly of Clintonville and Emlenton, died at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2009, at the Caring Place in Franklin.
Mr. Scott was born on October 23, 1921 in Little Cooley, Crawford County. He was the son of Milton B. and Irene Ferguson Scott.
He was of the protestant faith.
Mr. Scott was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Cagno Scott, who died in February 2009.
Mr. Scott was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a staff sergeant and a tail gunner in both England and France.
Surviving are seven children, Irene “Penny” Kidd, Deloris “Dorrie” Champion, Kenny Scott, Ronny Scott, Jim Scott, David Scott, and Diana Scott. Two sisters survive, Winifred McIntyre of Hermitage, and Jean Wallace of El Cajon, California, and a brother, Eddie Scott of Hartford, Ohio. Also surviving is a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna, three sisters, Betty Walter, with whom Mr. Scott made his home for many years, Martha Munnell, and Virginia, as well as a number of half brothers and half sisters.
