Captain Milton “Butch” A. Flynn, Jr., age 77 of Delray Beach, Florida passed away unexpectedly on Thursday evening, June 9, 2022. Butch peacefully took his last breath on his own terms and was comforted by his beloved son Ryan and brother Paul, at his bedside.
He joined the Navy in 1964 during the Vietnam War and was fortunate enough to be sent to the Antarctic Operations, stationed on the USS Glacier (AGB-4), the most powerful Icebreaker in the world at that time, one of only two the US Navy ever had in Operation Deep Freeze that went from the South Pole to the North Pole.
Butch is survived by his son, Ryan Flynn, his siblings, Mary Carol Flynn, Paul G. Flynn, Elizabeth Brumm, ex-wife Yvonne Hunt and eight nieces and nephews, Jacqueline Lambert, Kerry Rome, Bridget Rome, Kristian Rome, Tara Zeilman, Jessica Flynn, Henry Brumm and Spencer Brumm.
