Millicent Wert, age 92 of Centralia, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2015. Millie was born on March 2, 1923 in Centralia, a daughter to Era and Ellen (McBride) Boles. On July 16, 1939, she married Harold Wert in St. Charles, Missouri and he preceded her in death on November 23, 2004.

Millie is survived by a daughter, Velva Wilson and husband Lee of Centralia; two sons, Lloyd Wert and special friend, Fran Garrison of Centralia and Rodney Wert and wife Roseanne of Mt. Vernon; eight grandchildren, Paula Bethann Mifflin, Dana Wert, Todd Wert, Phillip Wert, Roger Wert and wife Dorothy, Sheryl Boyd, Kris Wert and Wendy Denzler; twelve great-grandchildren, Jamie, Taylor, Jonathan, Ryan, Jason, Chase, Lauren, Aidyn, Lisa, Gunner, David, Paige and Skyler; one great-great-grandson, Zaedyn; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; two brothers, Clifford Boles and Forrest Boles; a sister, Betty Metzger; one grandson, Timothy Howell and a nephew, Robert Boles.

Millie was of the Baptist faith and a member of First Baptist Church in Centralia. She attended Sunday school every Sunday morning at Plaza Verde in Centralia. She worked at Centralia Jr. High School for over 28 years and retired as the head supervisor of the kitchen. Millie played a different game every night, with some of her favorites being BINGO, Dominos and Pinochle. She loved her family and friends dearly and made it her duty to take care of anyone who needed her. She cared for many of her family members, friends and neighbors during difficult times. She was loved by all who knew her.
