Millard Gibson, 85, of O’Fallon, Ill., born February 25, 1921, in Longmont, CO., died Friday, May 19, 2006, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Belleville, Ill.
Gib was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, former chairman of the City of O’Fallon Planning Committee, and was a pilot in the US Air Force, retiring as a Colonel, after 37 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Ida, nee Tilbury, Gibson, and 2 brothers; Sam & Fred Gibson.
Gib is survived by his wife Myrna C., nee Bernthaler, Gibson of O’Fallon, Ill., a son Paul (Karen) Gibson of O’Fallon, Ill., a daughter Lynn E. Johnson of O’Fallon, Ill., and 4 grandchildren: Jamie Johnson, Jeffery Johnson, Katelynn Gibson, all of O’Fallon, Ill., and Amanda Westerhouse of St. Louis, MO.
