Millard “Ed” Edwin Riding
Millard Edwin Riding, 82, passed away April 24, 2019 at the George E. Wahlen Ogden Veterans Home. He was born February 18, 1937 in Panguitch, Utah the son of Millard E. and Garna (Heaps) Riding. He graduated from American Fork High School in American Fork and attended Weber State College. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Ed joined the Air Force in 1955, he served in Japan where he met Shizue Jo Yahiro. They were married July 21, 1958 at Itazuke Air Base in Fukuoka, Japan. They were later sealed in the Ogden Temple on April 20, 1974. He was honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1959 and served in the reserves until 1963.
He and Jo moved to Ogden in 1960. They lived in the same home since 1961, where they raised their family.
