Mildred Carter Woolever age 89, of DeMotte, IN formerly of Wheatfield passed away on May 4, 2009 at her son’s residence. She was born on June 30, 1919 in Boonville, IN to Raymond A. and Mabel (Padgett) Carter, both deceased.
Mildred was a graduate of Boonville High School Class of 1937 and Indiana State Teachers College in 1941. She was a retired teacher in the Kankakee Valley School Corporation teaching for 26 years and Hobart Public Schools for 3 years. On Nov. 20, 1943 she married Lowell Woolever who passed away Sept. 30, 1990. She was a member of DeMotte United Methodist Church, DAR-Margaret Byrant Blackstone Chapter and Indiana Retired Teacher’s Association.
Mildred is survived by her loving family, Bruce Allen (Harriet) Woolever, Wheatfield, IN; Robert Theodore (Diane) Woolever, Wanatah, IN; Stephen J. (Gail) Woolever, Wheatfield, IN; and Margaret Ann (Brian) Hollies, Carmel, IN. 9 Grandchildren and 11 Great-grandchildren. Sister, Susanne Henderson, Mesa, AZ.
