Mrs. Walther was born December 2, 1932 in Pittsburgh, PA to Joseph and Marie (Lacher) Hoffman. She married Reuben Walther on April 18, 1953 in Belleview, PA. Mildred was employed at Westclox, Cosgrove’s Floral Shop, Monte’s Meat Market, 12th Street Station Ice Cream Shop and Ankiewicz Deli. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, Peru.
Survivors include her five children, Teresa Studebaker of Peru, Dave (Lynn) Walther of Floresville, TX, Barbara (Mike) Bacidore of Peru, Rita Walther of Peru and Karen (Vince) Kasperski of Peru; 14 grandchildren, Brian (Jeni) Roether, Carol McFall, Diana Garza Velasquez, Brenna Roether, Shannon (Jeremy) Herman, Kyle (Teresa) Studebaker, Brittany Walther, Trevor (Jessica) Currie, David Walther, Dominic Bacidore, Joseph Bacidore, Maguire Kasperski, Sydney Kasperski and William McFall; 8 great-grandchildren; one sister, Rosemarie McCarthy of Pittsburgh, PA; one brother, Joseph Hoffman of Pittsburg, PA; one sister-in-law, Maryanne Carroll of Ottawa and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Reuben on July 4, 1997 and one sister, Dorothy Kleppner.
