Mildred (Millie) V. Garr, 83, of Newton passed away August 30, 2008 in the Monarch Wing at Skiff Medical Center in Newton. Mildred was born on January 1, 1925 in Grinnell to Marion and Vera (Short) Halterman. She attended Grinnell schools. She was united in marriage to Glenn L. Garr on July 29, 1942 in Unionville, MO. They made their home in Grinnell until moving to Newton in 1951.
