Mrs. Mildred “Mickey” Polk Sullivan, age 92, of Harkness Drive, Milford, beloved wife of the late Leonard Vincent Sullivan, passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 29, 2009 at her home.

 

Daughter of the late John and Nellie Polk, she was born on November 4, 1916 in Bridgeport. She was an avid Red Sox fan for over 80 years and an animal lover.

 

Survivors include her devoted daughters, Darlene Sullivan of Milford and Shirley Ann Sullivan of Chesapeake, VA, five grandchildren and their spouses, Deborah Kim Istona of Norwalk, Michael Cappello,  Tony Cappello, both of Milford, Kelly Bob of Stratford, and Scott Dow of Virginia, and thirteen great grandchildren. She also leaves several nieces and nephews and her best buddy and playmate, her cat, Tigger-Tiger. She is predeceased by a sister, Dorothea Stewart.
