Mildred Mae Sis Wagner, 91, of Montgomery, formerly of Peru, passed away March 28, 2011 in her home.
Mrs. Wagner was born May 10, 1919 in LaSalle to Henry J. and Lillian (Wolf) Barber. She married Robert E. Wagner on May 10, 1941 at St. Patricks Church in LaSalle. Mrs. Wagner was a former member of St. Marys Church in Peru where she was active in the choir and the Altar and Rosary Society and was a volunteer at the Undercellar retail shop. She was a current member of St. Annes Church in Oswego. She was a 60-year cancer survivor and an enthusiastic annual participant in Relay for Life up through 2010.
Survivors include three sons, Edward (Mary Ann) Wagner of Montgomery, Thomas (Patricia) Wagner of Spring Valley and David (Cindy) Wagner of Peru; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren with another on the way and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert on May 26, 1989; her brother, Russell Barber and a granddaughter, Samantha (Wagner) Gaughan. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and grandsons-in-law, Eddie Ensor, Ryan Radtke, Anthony Wagner, John Wagner, Kirk Wagner and Robert Wagner. Honorary Pallbearers will be her granddaughters, Liz Radtke, Shari Wagner and Debbie Ensor.
