Mildred Anna “Sally” Johnson (nee Allen) died Monday April 3, 2017 at the Autumn Leafs Assisted Living Center in Woodstock, GA at the age of 95. Sally was a resident of Burlington until moving to Georgia in 2009. She was a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Burlington, where she sang in the choir, was a member of the Altar Guild and served in many other capacities within the church.
She was also a member of the City of Burlington Historical Society, the Daughters of the King and the Beverly-Maqueda Chapter # 276 Order of the Eastern Star. Prior to her retirement she served as the secretary to the Burlington Township Board of Education. Sally was the daughter of the late Francis H. and Clara Agatha Allen. She was predeceased by her loving husband Irvin Johnson and her brother Francis “Buddy” Allen.
She is survived by her children; Bruce Irvin Johnson of New York City and Barbara Hawkins and her husband Bobby of Big Canoe, GA, her grandchildren; Dr. Brent A. Moberly of Bloomington, IN, and Dr. Kevin A Moberly of Norfolk, VA as well as several nieces and nephews.
