Mildred Rosalie Egan, 88, passed away on March 9, 2014 in Penrose, Colorado surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of Maine A. Gallaher and Abigail (Harwood) Gallaher, born in Somerton, Arizona on November 23, 1925. Mildred was not only a wife, mother and grandmother but also a Registered Nurse for more than 45 years, graduating from St. Mary’s in Tucson, Arizona in 1945. She then married her husband, David William Egan and moved to Massachusetts and then to California, where she spent the last 50 years until moving to Colorado. She loved gardening, walking, friends and family, her favorite sports teams and her longtime friend Virginia Tallman. Mildred was the wife of David W. Egan for 52 years until his passing in 1998. She is survived by her loving son, David Harwood Egan, Michelle (Graff) Egan, grandchildren Jessica (Winters) and David Michael Egan; brother, George Gallaher and numerous nieces and nephews.
