Mildred M. Strieter,90, passed away on January 10th. Born in Ionia, Michigan Millie grew up on a farm and attended Ionia High School where she graduated as Salutatorian in 1944. She attended Lansing Secretarial School and later worked for various firms in the area following graduation.
She married her husband, Harmon D. Strieter in 1956. In August 1958 her husband began work at the Cape in Florida on the missile program. The family followed and moved to their present home in Cocoa Beach.
Millie was a Freedom 7 volunteer and a Brownie and Girl Scout leader. She also worked with Little League Mothers.
