Mildred Mable Foster, 106, of Salem, Arkansas, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Southfork River Therapy and Living Center in Salem.

She was born in Calico Rock, Arkansas on May 27, 1912, daughter of the late Edward Ezekiel and Lucy (Rand) Marchant. Mildred spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, friend and homemaker. Mildred and her husband, Troy accepted Christ at Center Point Church in Elizabeth, Arkansas. She was united in marriage to the late Troy Foster in Viola, Arkansas on January 11, 1930 and from this union ten children were born, and family expanded for six generations. In 1926, Mildred experienced traveling from Calico Rock, Arkansas to Okmulgee, Oklahoma in a covered wagon. Mildred enjoyed farm gardening and had a green thumb when it came to flowers. She also enjoyed crocheting, quilting, playing dominos and cooking. Mildred always did word searches to keep her mind sharp and at 106 years of age took up bracelet making.

Mildred is survived by her daughters, Bea Young, Gwen Rowland, Shirley Holstine and Pat Sobba; sons, Gail (Barb) Foster, Junior (Betty) Foster, Ed (Becky) Foster and Donnie Foster; daughter in law, Donna Foster; 24 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 39 great-great grandchildren, 8 great-great-great grandchildren; sister, Elda Foster and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Foster; son, Larry Foster; daughter, Mary Conrow; grandsons, Dennis Foster and Nathan Kiesling; sisters, Reable Haughn, Ruby Mae Foster, Edna McCandlis, Juanita Robbins and Imogene Wright and brothers, Jesse Marchant, Heaber Marchant, Willard Marchant and Lee Marchant.
