Mildred Louise McCarroll Byrd, 89 went to be with the Lord Thursday, June 29, 2017 at noon at Heritage Center of Morristown. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Jesse Carl Byrd; parents, Gus and Mittie McCarroll; granddaughter, Crystal Wolfe; brother, Ralph McCarroll; sister, Ruth Sparks and daughter-in-law Kathy Byrd. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of Highland Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher for many years.
She is survived by her sons, David Byrd and wife Dorothy of Whitesburg, Paul Byrd and wife Debbie of Gray; daughter, Barbara Wolfe and husband Wayne of Whitesburg. She is also survived by grandchildren, Stephanie Creech, Bryan Byrd and Justin Byrd; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Hannah and Hayden Creech and Carson and Bentley Byrd; brothers, Marion McCarroll of Texas and Thomas McCarroll and wife Imajean of Arkansas, and her best friend Jerri Hensley.
