Mildred and Merl settled in Sioux City and were members of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sioux City since 1933.  She was a member of Lydia Circle, St. Paul’s Ladies Aid, Quilting Club and Mature Citizens.  She was famous for her cooking contributions to St. Paul’s and remembered by generations for her wonderful Swiss steak dinners.
