Mildred L. “Pibby” Wither, 89, formerly of Russell Ave., Williamsport, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011 at the Williamsport Home.
Born Sept. 13, 1921 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of George Dallas and Inus Hicks Wither.
She was a 1939 graduate of Williamsport High School. She retired from Wundies. She was a member of Lycoming Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are many nieces and nephews including Rebecca Wither, Diane Sprout, and Jean Bell all of Williamsport, and Donald Wither of Fla.
She was preceded in death by five brothers James, Harry, Charles, Lyman, and Leonard Wither, two sisters Dorothy Wither and Beulah Hay, and two infant siblings.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caring staff of the Williamsport Home Alzheimer’s Unit, for their loving care and being there for all of Mildred’s needs.
