Mildred King Wiseman of 407 Satterwhite Drive, Knightdale, NC passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2007. Mrs. Wiseman was born in Franklin County, June 27, 1914, the daughter of the late Dennis Moses King and Mary Harris King. She was predeceased by her first husband, Bennett Allen Journigan in 1944 and her second husband, Harold John Williams in 1959.

Mrs. Wiseman spent most of her life in Wake County where she raised her children. After farming for years she worked at other jobs while she grew wonderful vegetable gardens; created lovely crafts which were shown at the NC Arts and Craft Shows in Raleigh and the NC State Fair and given as gifts. She was well known for her beautiful flower gardens, which before her illness, surrounded her home that was a showplace of beauty. Over the years her plants took many blue ribbons at the NC State Fair. On Senior Day at the Fair she received a special invitation from Mr. Jim Graham to enter the contest for hats made from North Carolina agricultural products and won several ribbons for her entries. She loved traveling with her husband around the country and before he retired in 1977 from the US Marine Corp she traveled with him to Indonesia where he was attached to the US Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia. She was a wonderful story teller and always happy to share her experiences with family and friends. Her love, faith, laughter and positive outlook on life touched many lives.
