Mildred I. (Askins) Mann of Plympton, passed away at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston on October 28, 2020 at the age of seventy-nine. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas E. Mann. She was the loving mother of Steven Cabral and his wife Dawn of Carver, Amy Warren and her husband Matt of Oklahoma, Jason Mann of Plymouth and the late Linda Cabral. She was the treasured grandmother of Steven, Jr., Michael and Melissa Cabral and Christina Mann and great grandmother to Idella Factor. She was the sister of Joan Zanello and her husband Henry of Florida, Mary Gavoni and her husband George of Plymouth, Beverly Santarpia and her husband John of Carver, Richard Askins and his wife Kathryn of Florida, Bill Askins and his wife Kathy of Florida and the late Jack Askins. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.Mildred was born in Boston on September 3, 1941 to John and Rita (McDonald) Askins. She worked for many years in the shipping and receiving department of Pixley Richards in Plymouth. She enjoyed making afghans, watching hummingbirds and was an avid pool player. Mildred was very active in the close-knit community where she lived. She was always helping her friends and neighbors with whatever they needed, whether it was a ride, cooking meals for them or making puzzles. She was a selfless person and always put others needs before her own. Her greatest joy was her family and spending time with them especially her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all those that loved her.
