Mildred Helen Weddell Casto, 90, Pendleton, passed away November 23, 2010 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana after a lengthly illness.
She was born May 24, 1920 in Bloomington, Illinois. She moved to Elwood, Indiana when she was two years old and has lived most of her life in Madison County. Mildred was a graduate of Elwood High School She retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors in 1974 after 34 years of employment. Mildred was a member of East Lynn Christian Church and was a volunteer at Community Hospital in Anderson for 25 years.
She is survived by her son, Gregory & wife Janice Swager Casto of Anderson; grandchildren, Jacqueline Casto of Nashville, Tennessee and Jennifer & husband Miquelangel Acevedo of San Antonio, Texas; great granddaughters, Lydia Acevedo and Sophia Acevedo of San Antonio, Texas; sister, Eunice & husband Jim Childers of Warren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, George Casto who passed away on January 30, 1996; and siblings, Howard J. Weddell, Mera Eulala Weddell, Lucian Clarence Weddell and Albert Weddell.
