Mildred George Howell, age 92, of Atlanta, Georgia passed away while in hospice care at UniHealth-Brookhaven, Monday, September 17, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Ralph Cullen Howell, and also by her daughter Janice Moxley. Mildred was born and raised in Atlanta. She attended Girls High in Atlanta where she was a member of the basketball and volleyball teams. Mildred was employed by BellSouth while her husband was away at war. In addition, she was very involved with the school system. She was a teacher at Annie E. West Elementary School, served as a substitute teacher, and was also the President of the PTA.
