Mildred E. Gieseking, 96, of Metamora, IL passed away at 10:33 am on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Kindred Hospital in Peoria, IL. She was born on September 8, 1920 in Cazenovia Township to Joseph M. and Ida E. (Gries) Marchand. She married Arthur T. Gieseking on October 4, 1941 in Peoria, IL. He passed away on March 10, 2012.
Surviving are her daughter Janice (James) Zilm of East Peoria; grandsons Jason (Allisa) Zilm of East Peoria, Ryan (Jess) Zilm of Washington, and Daniel (Jamie) Zilm of Spring Bay; great-grandchildren Blake, Jayden, Cayden, and Jayleigh Zilm; step-great-grandchildren Drew, Chase, Keagen, and Kelli; sister Bernadine Janssen of Metamora; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
