Mildred C. “Sievers” Yochum, 90, of Vincennes, IN passed away Sunday July 15, 2012at 10:20 AM at the Gentle Care Nursing Center with her family at her bedside. She was born January 29, 1922 in Vincennes, the daughter of Louis & Catherine Bouchie Sievers.

She worked at Brown Shoe Factory in the office and during W.W. II; she was active in the Red Cross as a volunteer for the troops. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church. On October 4, 1947, she married Francis X. Yochum and they made their life together for nearly 65 years. She was a devoted wife, mother and sister. She is survived by her husband, Francis X. Yochum, a brother, Jim Sievers, and his wife Doris of Vincennes, 2 sisters in law, Evelyn Sievers and Dorothy Sievers both of Vincennes.

Several nieces and nephews also survived her. She was preceded in death by her children, Edward F. Yochum and Diane Yochum Evans, her parents, 3 brothers Syrill Sievers, Chris Sievers and Bernard Sievers, 2 sisters, Dorothy Sievers and Jenevie Brummett.
