Mildred (Milly) Ahlstrom, age 83, passed away on Saturday afternoon, April 4, in her home in Boise. Milly leaves behind her twin sister, Melba Hanseen (Robert) of Laguna Niguel, California; two children, Stephen Ahlstrom (Julie) of Pasco, Washington and Scott Ahlstrom (Teresa) of Round Rock, Texas; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was devoted to her family throughout her life.
She was born on August 5, 1925 in Holden, Utah to Byron and Flossie Stephenson. She married her high school sweetheart, Warren Ahlstrom in March 1946. They were sealed as eternal companions in the LDS Manti Utah temple in July 1948. They moved to Boise, Idaho in 1966 after living in Elko, Nevada and Sacramento, California. She has called Boise her home for over 40 years. Milly was an avid golfer to the very end and a longtime member of the Plantation Country Club. She is also well remembered for the dozens of quilts she made by hand for family members and those in need. She has many friends and neighbors in the community who will dearly miss her well respected influence.
