MILADA ANEA½KA ZEMAN (age 88)

Milada went home to God on Aug. 27, 2016 at 2:07 AM, holding her daughter’s hand as her son Dan sang to her in Czech. Born Sept. 28, 1927 in Prague, Czechoslovakia, she was educated as a teacher and as a nurse at Charles University. She lived and worked in England after WWII before emigrating to Chicago, IL where she was employed at Sears Roebuck until her marriage in 1960. She raised her children in Brooklyn, NY before moving with her daughter to MD in 1994. She filled her life with prayer and reading. Art (especially the “Christ in Majesty” mosaic), crocheting, and music were her passions.

She was predeceased by her sister JiA™ina, her  brother Jaroslav, and her husband, ZdenA›k.  She will always be loved by her three children: Michelle, Dan (Tammy), and David (Sharon); eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Winry, her precious 4-year-old great-granddaughter filled her last years at Friends Nursing Home with great joy.
