Michiel Lee Sanderson, Jr. passed away at the age of 53 in Pensacola, FL on September 07, 2021. He was born in Denver, CO on June 30, 1968. He was a resident of Navarre, FL for the past 23 years.

 

Mikey (Butch) grew up in the Fountain, Widefield, and Security area in Colorado. He had a deep love for the great outdoors and loved to ride horses, and dirt bikes, he played football in high school. Later he played softball on local rec teams and met with family and friends on the weekends to play football in the park. He loved to go camping at Cottonwood and Eleven-Mile. He loved to fish and tell stories about the “one” that got away. He was an avid Denver Bronco’s fan, and enjoyed watching the Alabama Crimson Tide.

 

After moving to Navarre, Mikey learned to fish from piers, and out on the beach, but his favorite was always deep-sea fishing.

 

Mikey is most often described by family and friends as a man who is “larger than life”, with a heart “bigger than life”, he could talk to anyone, and no one who ever spoke with him ever forgot him. He was a “one of kind” and a “once in a lifetime” guy!!

 

He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Norman Wade and Leta W Enfield, Albert Trujillo his favorite Uncle and many others of the Trujillo family, and Michiel Lee Sanderson, Sr.

 

Mikey is survived by his partner in life Sami Knutson, his parents Margie and Louie Trujillo, Aunt/Mother Sioux Fisher and her two daughters and one son, his brother Wade Sanderson and his two daughters and one son, his sister and her husband Lisa and Albert Murillo and their daughter, his brother and his wife Louie and Rachel Trujillo and their son and daughter in law and granddaughter. Mikey’s children; one daughter, three sons, three daughters-in-law, ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren and all his fur babies. Also, his Aunt Betty and Uncle Marty and numerous family members in Tennessee.
