Our beloved Mike Parra entered the gates of Heaven on March 19, 2013, following a lengthy illness. Mike was born on December 30, 1957 in Ventura to the union of Ralph and Margaret Parra. He was a lifelong resident of Oxnard. Mike graduated from Oxnard High School in 1976 and, shortly thereafter, began a 34 year career with GTE/Verizon as a Cable Splicer/Fiber Tech until his retirement in September 2011.
Mike loved the Lord! He was saved when he was 16yrs old and brought many others to Jesus as well. So, while we will miss him terribly, we also rejoice in the fact that he is in Heaven with the Lord and reunited with his father and brothers.
Mike was a good man, with a heart of gold and a wonderful personality.
