Mike, Michael A. “Poopa” Reuwsaat, the son of Edwin Andrew and Sandra Patricia Hurley Reuwsaat was born on January 24, 1955 in Newton, Iowa. He was a graduate of Newton High School in 1973. He also graduated from college.
Mike had played in the band Desperado in Newton. He enjoyed bowling, bow hunting and motorcycle trials. He had been a computer tech for Forbes Office Supply in Newton. Mike was currently doing landscaping for Carew Landscaping in Iowa City. He also was a DJ.
Mike died on Sunday, March 18, 2018, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left to honor Mike’s, “Poopa’s” memory are his daughter, Heather (Jody) Wenzel of Martensdale; six grandchildren, Cheyenne, Savanah and Montana Good; and Dakota, Keaton and Keeghan Wenzel; his great-granddaughter, Madison Good; brother, Matthew (Chris) Reuwsaat of Iowa City and sister, Sandra (Mark) Grunsted of Taylor, Missouri.
