Mike was born in Decatur on September 26, 1952 to Emma Dancy and the late Thomas Orr. He departed this life on April 12, 2012 at his residence in Decatur, Alabama. He was employed for many years at Container Recycling Company before becoming disabled.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Orr; two brothers, Donell and Hosie Dancy and one nephew, Darrius Dancy.
He leaves to cherish his memory; a mother, Emma Dancy Smoke, three brothers; Melvin Dancy (Rita), William Dancy (Chelle) and Bradley Dancy (Quesha); two sisters, Linda Pearl Matthews (Keith) and Linda Sheria Dancy (Pat); one aunt, Lillie Pearl Alexander all of Decatur; two nieces, Myesha Kingston and Alasia Taylor; seven nephews, Andy Fennell, Quintarius Dancy, Rushad Dancy, Torrence Dancy, Cody Boyd, DeAndre Dancy and Hosie Dancy and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
