Mike D. Swinford, 60, Anderson, died April 7, 2007 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana after an extended illness. He was born April 22, 1946 in Elwood, Indiana, and resided in Anderson most of his life.
Mike retired in 1999 from Guide Corporation after 30 years of service. He was a graduate of Pendleton High School He served his country in the US Marine Corp during the Vietnam War.
Mike was a member of the VFW Post #266, American Legion, Veterans of Madison County, Madison County Voiture #510 40 & 8, Amvets and Eagles Lodge.
He is survived by his wife whom he married October 4, 2003: Janice Storm Swinford. Two sons: Todd ”Swinny” & wife Lola Swinford of Anderson and Mark Swinford of Markleville. Stepdaughter: Sara Truman of Kentucky. Stepbrothers: Larry Storm, Phil Storm, Steve Storm and Brad Storm. Stepsister: Donna Whitehead. Aunt: Jean Adams. Mother-in-law & Father-in-law: Vivian & Walter Storm. Three grandchildren: T.J. Swinford, Gavin Swinford and Kiah Ward. Two special dogs: Shy & Prince. Special friends: Joe Arena, Bill Wensel and Bill Conley.
