On Wednesday, October 19, 2022 Miguel Joson Bosch, Sr. “Igol”, 80 years. of Goose Creek, SC, formerly of Glen Burnie, MD passed away peacefully. He was born on February 12, 1942, to Felicissima  Joson and Antonio Marquez Bosch, in Catanduanes, Phillippines.

He is survived by his wife Evelyn Bosch of 17 years, his children; Antonietta Bosch-Chaix and her husband Sylvain Chaix, Miguel Jr. and his wife Karrie and Robert: their mother Mary Bosch, Grandsons Mason and William, granddaughter Adrianna; brothers Guillermo Bosch, Sr., Antonio Bosch; sisters Antoniet Federis, Leonora Bosch-Figueroa, Aning Guinoo and Emilia Bosch-Binalla. He was preceded in death by his siblings Isabel Guinoo and Johnnie Bosch. He is also survived by a special nephew, Albert Bosch and many other nieces, nephews and loving friends.

Miguel set sail for the United States in 1962, when he enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard. He became a U.S. citizen while serving his new country, and found pride and patriotism in the USCG.

In 1982, Miguel, Sr. found his passion in life and began his journey in Taekwon Do, and the Filipino art of Arnis. Attaining the rank of 6th degree black belt in each, Miguel Sr. was a force to be reckoned with. Following the five tenants of Taekwon Do, Miguel Sr. lived his life through courtesy, integrity, perserverance, self control  and  indomitable spirit. In 1968 Miguel Sr. started to work for US Airways as a customer service agent from which he retired.

As much as he loved his USCG and martial arts, Miguel Sr’s greatest source of pride and joy were his children and grandchildren. A special thanks to the staff of Pinewood Place and Hospice, Goose Creek, SC.
