RAMIREZ, Miguel H. “Mike” of Saginaw, Michigan Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother passed away on Sunday, April 06, 2014 at his home with his family by his side. He was 78 years old. Miguel H. Ramirez was born on August 11, 1935 in Bastrop, Texas to the late Alberto and Adela (Hernandez) Ramirez. He proudly enlisted into the United States Army in 1953. Following his honorable discharge he began working for Malleable Iron from 1956 until 1962. During that time he married the love of his life, Delores Samaniego on December 21, 1959 in Moore Haven, Florida. He then began to work for Delco Moraine as a machinist in 1962, retiring September 2, 1994 with over 32 years of service. Mike was an avid fisherman and ice fisherman. He also enjoyed watching the Detroit Tiger’s and Lion’s and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 54 years, Delores Ramirez; five children: Michelle (Jody) Figueroa of Bay City, Gilbert (Sue) Ramirez of Hemlock, AnnMargaret Bublitz of Carrollton, Elizabeth (Greg) Britton of Zilwaukee, and the late, Michael Ramirez; 16 grandchildren: Annabella, Trent, Angela (Tommy), Gilbert II, Mitchell (Sisi), Robert, Justin, Timothy Jr. (Kay), Michael, Caitlin (Josh), Alexandria, Jacob, Ashley, Michael II, Brandon, and Gianna; seven great-grandchildren and two on the way; siblings: Emma Corona of Bastrop, TX, Albert (Carmen) Ramirez of Saginaw, and Elida (Bill) Hernandez of Saginaw.
