Miguel Angel Miranda, Sr., de Gonzalez, 90, of Bethlehem passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Marie (Carrasquillo) Miranda. Born in Corozal, PR, he was the eldest of 15 children of the late Serafin and Victoria (Gonzalez) Miranda. Miguel worked in the Cokeworks at the Bethlehem Steel for 32 years until retiring in 1992. He was a member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church Bethlehem, former member of the Holy Name Society and he was part of the Cursillo Movement. Miguel was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time outside.
Survivors: He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Melissa Miranda of Bethlehem; son Mark Anthony Miranda of Hellertown; daughter in law Carol Miranda of Bethlehem Township; sister Elizabeth Foreman and her husband Jerry of Hoboken, NJ; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and many other loving siblings and family members. Miguel was preceded in death by his son Miguel Miranda who passed away in 2016.
