Midge Rocke went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 20, 2012, the first day of spring and her first day in paradise. She joins there her lat husband, Merle, and her son, Jim. She was 87 years old. Midge was born in Geneva, Ohio, on February 21, 1925. Known for her sense of humor, she loved her family and friends, good music, and following the Cleveland Indians, Browns, and Ohio State.

She was always optimistic, rarely complained, and had a wide network of friends. She will greatly missed! She served as a registered nurse during WWII. After marrying Merle following the war, they moved to Groveland, IL to work the Rocke family farm. A move to Ft. Wayne in the mid 50’s marked the beginning of many good years in this community. She was a member of First Missionary Church for many years and later attended the Chapel.

Midge leaves behind a family who loved and benefited from her skills as a mother, grandmother, and aunt. She was able to beautifully balance those roles with also being a friend to family members. She knew how to laugh and have fun while still commanding respect. Surviving are son Jeff, daughters Jane Kelley, and Ann Souder; 7 grandchildren; a sister, Faye Kuhl of Geneva, Oh. She was preceded in death by her husband Merle and her son, Jim.
