Marietta “Midge” Naylor, 94, of Ashland, IL passed away Friday, November 15, 2019, at Lavender Ridge Memory Care in Jacksonville, IL.
She was born March 5, 1925 in Ashland, the daughter of Samuel David and Phoebe Dunkel Danenberger. She married Donald Gene Naylor on February 23, 1963 in Jacksonville and he preceded her in death on November 28, 1996.
Midge is survived two sisters, Pat Houser and Sally Long, both of Ashland, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Bast, and six brothers, Samuel Jr., Gene, Donald, Richard, Raymond and Walter Danenberger.
A 1943 graduate of Ashland High School, Midge was retired from the State of Illinois Departments of Public Aid and Aeronautics. She later was employed by the Ashland Sentinel newspaper and Ashland United Methodist Church. She attended the Ashland United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family.
