Mickie Diane Morton, 61, of Boerne, Texas, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 25, 2018.
Mickie was born on February 29, 1956, in Bowie, Texas, to Harvey Echols and Reba Clary Echols Stotts. She graduated from high school in Baytown and then attended Lee College. Mickie worked as a travel agent and tax preparer for the last 27 years. She loved her family and her friends. But most of all, Mickie loved her grandkids. She had a cheerful and grateful soul. Mickie would give the shirt off her back to help anyone in need. Mickie would go to any lengths to support and be there for anyone in her family. She loved travelling with Gene and her family especially taking trips to the beach every year. Mickie was a loving, caring, and genuinely good person to everyone that knew and loved her. She loved having a good time and she especially loved to dance.
Mickie is survived by her husband, Gene Morton; her daughter, Charlotte Caudill; her sons, Gary Morton and his wife, Sandra, Mike Morton and his wife, Tish, David Morton and his wife, Kim, Gene Morton, Jr. and his wife, Claire; her grandsons, Logan Sotello, Gary Morton, Jr., Matt Morton, Mike Morton, David Morton, Jr., Jaydon Morton and Dawson Morton; her granddaughters, Crystal Caudill, Brittney Morton, Rebecca Morton, Marissa Morton, Ashley Morton, Jenna Morton, Shannon Morton, Cassidy Morton and Chassity Morton; her mother, Reba Stotts; her sisters, Vicki Sorrell and her husband, John, Kelly Stotts, Denise Echols and Deanna Mcaufliff; her nieces, Brandi Jones, Abby Jones, Reiley Brumfield, and Shelby Stotts: her nephews, David Jones and Justin Stotts; and many dear friends, all of whom loved and will miss her dearly.
Mickie was preceded by her father, Charles B. Stotts, and her brother, Charles Stotts.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to their neighbors, to the firefighters, to the paramedics and to the police who all responded and risked their lives saving others.
