Mickey Lenear Noles spent over 32 years as a dedicated officer of the law.

From 1971 to 2003 he was employed by Newnan Police Department, Coweta County Police force (which in March 1973 became Coweta County Sheriff’s Department), Heard County Sheriff’s Department, Fairburn City Police Department, and Grantville City Police Department. His unfailing commitment was to the rule of the law. Above all, his integrity behind the badge was of utmost importance. Mickey possessed that strong moral strength to do the job and do it well. He knew that it required him to go to places and to great lengths where others simply would not go. It was only when he realized that he no longer possessed the physical strength required to carry out the duties that he retired. He always knew that he had compassion for those who needed him, the dedication to serve the community, and the courage to face any situation. Mickey was born in Roanoke, Alabama on September 17, 1950. He was preceded in death by his parents George Lenear (G. L.) Noles and Christine Arrington Noles and granddaughter Laurel Bailey Glover.

In 2013, Mickey’s life was forever altered by the tragic death of his son, Michael. Mickey had invested so much of himself into helping Michael learn the difficult lessons of life. Some very difficult decisions had to be made, but Mickey knew his only desire was to see Michael succeed, and Michael certainly did, thanks to the wisdom of his father and a supportive family. He was a member of the New Covenant Worship Center in Franklin. He was a licensed Minister with the Church of God, Cleveland Tennessee.

Mickey is survived by his devoted wife Elaine of 45 years. His daughters are Amy (Mac) Glover, Amanda (Joseph) Overton, and Ashley Noles. He was the delightfully indulgent grandfather aka “Big Daddy” to Anna Grace Allen, Lora Glover, Andrew Allen, Lynsey Glover, Catie Levens, and Maelyn Noles. Also, surviving are his only sibling, Virgil Dale Noles, and his wife Renee, a special friend Jimmy (Nancy) Pye, Sister-in-law, Mary Ann Mc Whorter, brothers-in-law Randall (Karen Jennings), and Wesley (Sherrie) Noles.
