Michelle Lynn Kelleher of Mebane, NC passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at her home. She started her earthly journey in Evergreen Park, IL on January 4, 1990. She was a loving daughter, sister, great friend to many, and mom to her cat Preta, dog Sir Wolf, and many chickens.
Michelle is survived by her mother & step-father, Peg & Mike Macabobby of Wisconsin/Arizona; brother, Matthew Kelleher of Gilbert, AZ, Grandfather, Joe Kelleher of Las Vegas; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Kelleher.
Michelle loved living in North Carolina where she could thoroughly enjoy being in nature; a naturalist, herbalist, and permaculturist. She was a sponge for learning, highly educated both formally and informally. She earned two master’s degrees, was a Fulbright Scholar, and was an accomplished yoga instructor. She spoke three languages fluently and loved to travel, especially throughout South America. She enjoyed connecting with people and the places she traveled. An amazing musician, she taught herself to play many instruments, enjoyed creating music with her friends, and loved to sing and play her guitar. She was tenacious, bold, determined, generous, patient, kind, a great listener, and ultimate badass.
