Michelle Josette (Renault) Jones Gonyea, age 87, of Grafton, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2013, at Fairmont General Hospital. She was born August 13, 1926 in Hauts-de- Seine, Paris, France a daughter of the late Rene’ Renault and Gabrielle Charlotte Marie (Vonne’) Ranault. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Junior Paul Jones, in 1975, and her second husband, Elmer Gonyea, in 1997. Mrs. Gonyea graduated from high school and attended college in France. She enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles. She was employed at the former Shirt Factory and was a member of the American Legion Post #34 Ladies Auxiliary of Baltimore, MD. Surviving are: three sons, Bernard “Bernie” Jones, of Grafton, Gerald “Boub” Jones and wife Katherine, of Grafton, and Michael Paul Jones and wife Lee Ann, of Fairmont; one step son, Frank Gonyea, of Johnson, VT; one grandson, Jerry Michael “JJ” Jones and wife Jennifer, of Grafton; one granddaughter, Tamara Anne Reeder, of Lewisville, TX; one step granddaughter, Renee Ford, of St. College, PA; three great grandchildren, Destiny Loar, of Grafton, Jobe Jones, of Grafton, and Julia Anne Reeder, of Lewisville, TX; one sister, Nellie Aulbert, of Paris, France. In addition to her husbands she was preceded in death by one grandson, David Michael Jones, and one step grandson, Bradley Gonyea. Following her wishes Mrs. Gonyea will be cremated.
