Michelina “Mickey” Masella Ciocca, 96, of 2508 Whitney Ave., Hamden passed away Jan. 23, 2014 in Apple Rehab, Laurel Woods in East Haven. She was the widow of Edwin R. Ciocca. Born in New Haven Sept. 12, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Vincenzo (James) and Filomena (Fanny) Labagnara Masella. Prior to her retirement, she worked at Southern New England Telephone Co. (SNET). She is survived by a daughter, Marie Louise Ciocca of Hamden, with whom she resided; a son, James E. (Christine) Ciocca of Northford; one brother, Anthony (Lucille) Masella of North Haven; two sisters, Jean Anastasio of Orange and Loretta Palumbo of Milford; two grandchildren, James E. Ciocca Jr. and Lauren Ciocca. She was predeceased by two brothers, Gaetano “Guy” Masella and Joseph Vincent Masella.; and one sister, Aurora “Nikki” Rodican Buckingham Kreilheim., 424 Elm St. (cor. Dwight) New Haven Monday morning at 10:30.
