Michele Valleri Atencio passed away peacefully April 27, 2021 at Lotus Park Assisted Living Center in West Haven, Utah, at the age of 64.  She was born in Colorado on August 30, 1956 to Michael and Josephine Atencio.

Michele attended Central Catholic High School, as well as Parks Business College, in Denver, Colorado.  She worked as a Travel Agent throughout her life, working for Morris Murdock Travel and Sivulich Travel Agency.  She was also a Travel Educator in the travel industry.

Michele loved music and dancing.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing tennis, co-ed softball and volleyball, as well as being a member of a bowling team.  But, above all, Michele had a passion for travel.  She traveled throughout the United States and Australia, enjoyed numerous cruises and had over twenty-five trips all around the world.  At home she enjoyed jarring salsa and fruit.  She especially enjoyed dressing up in Halloween costumes with her grandchildren.

Michele was married to Ernie Atencio for 20 years. She was also married to James Bergen for 7 years.

Michele is survived by her loving partner, Rick Garcia.  Michele and Rick truly loved one another.  She also leaves behind her daughter, Elicia Atencio, and son, Tyson Atencio, as well as her mother, Josephine Soto, sisters Carol Trombino and Renae Saliano, and four grandchildren.

To my family:  Especially my two beautiful children, Elicia and Tyson and my wonderful grandchildren Hannah, Roberto Jr., Alexis and Izaiah, I love you so very much.  My mother, Josie, who has cared, supported and loved me unconditionally.  My sisters, Renae and Carol, who I am so grateful for,  I appreciate your love and support and being by my side.

To SOPA, Lotus Park, and all the health care workers who cared and loved me throughout my illness.  The Bergen family, friends, especially Dixie and Yolie, family, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.  You have all touched my life throughout the years.
