Michele Lee McLaughlin, 47, of Elgin, formerly of Ottawa, passed away on Tuesday evening, August 27, 2019 at Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin.
Michele was born on October 30, 1971, in Ottawa, to Robert “Bob” and Judy (Winchester) McLaughlin. She was a graduate of Ottawa Township High School, class of 1989, and received her degree in Criminal Justice from IVCC.
Michele worked for Footprints to Recovery in Elgin. She loved her family and her cats. She is survived by her son, Spencer, her parents, Bob and Judy, sister, Jeanette, a niece, Lisa, a nephew, Scott Simpson, 5 aunts Delores Eiben, Ellen Super, Joyce Allen, Linda (Jim) Pool, and Colleen (Mark) Hickman, and many cousins and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Luther (Alice) Winchester, and Hiram (Sarah) McLaughlin, 4 aunts Naoma Harcharik, Ruth Shafer, Darlene Wilson, and Diane Hicks, and 4 uncles, Jack, Carl, Harry, and Ronald Winchester.
