Michel “Mike” Dale Patterson, 71, of Kellogg died on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at his home.
Mike, the son of Kenneth and Evelyn (Scarborough) Patterson, was born on July 16, 1950 in Munich, Germany.
For over 40 years, Mike proudly served on the Kellogg Volunteer Fire Department; serving as Fire Chief for several years. He also was an avid reader, enjoyed camping, relaxing, and tinkering around his house. Mike loved children and all the kids in Kellogg knew him.
Mike is survived by his wife, Jane Patterson of Kellogg; daughter, Jennifer Prough of Grinnell; two grandchildren, Chase Strovers of Mitchellville and Carley Strovers of Grinnell; his siblings, Roy (Deborah) Patterson of Post Falls, Idaho and Gail (Ron) Clark of Grinnell; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and beloved grandma, Gladys Scarborough.
