Michael Yates, 64, of Grantville passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014. He was born November 1, 1950 in Montgomery, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Yates & Margaret Mitchum Yates. Michael grew up in Lanett, AL where he lived until moving to Newnan in 1989.
He was well known in Newnan from his work at the William L. Bonnell Co., Newnan High School, and in the meat departments at Kroger and later Wal-Mart. Michael was active at the Grantville Senior Center where he made many friends.
