Michael W. Mullenax, 61, of Tunnelton, WV, died on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Preston Memorial Hospital.

Michael was born September 7. 1960, in Kingwood, a son of Vonda Jean (Garrett) Mullenax of Oakland, MD and the late Ray Lynn Mullenax.

Mike was a faithful loving husband and so enjoyed pestering his wife. He was a hard worker and enjoyed his animals. He loved going to the sale at Terra Alta and talking to other farmers. Mike was always there to help his family and friends, moving them or whatever needed done. He loved sports, especially going to the basketball games when his sons played. He loved spending time with his grandkids and taking them rides on his 4-wheeler. Mike was looking forward to his retirement next September.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 41 years Kathy E. (Readd) Mullenax of Tunnelton; three sons and spouses, Brent & Charity Mullenax of Hardy, VA, Blaine and Crystal Mullenax of Fairmont, Braden Mullenax and Fiancée Ladai Harris of Fairmont; three brothers and spouses, Robert and Sharron Scott of Beverly, WV, Kenny Mullenax of Stephens, VA, Steve and Mary Mullenax of Terra Alta; five sisters, Cathy Collins of Parsons, Carolyn Mullenax of Elkins, Betty and Carl Fint of Aurora, Mary Allman of Eglon, Dorothy Wilkie of St Petersburg, FL; five grandchildren, Addison, Jackson, Morgan, Braden C., Kennedy; one brother-in-law and spouse, Ron and Beth Readd of PA; one sister-in-law and companion, Heather Gaston and Keith Johnson of OH.

He was preceded in death by one brother David Mullenax; his mother and fathers-in -law, Eleanor (Zinn) Readd Hawkins and Sam Readd and Warren Hawkins; and Aunt Pam Garrett.

Family and friends may call at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price Street; on Thursday, December 16, 2021, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm.

Our family would like to thank Kamp Ambulance, Tunnelton Fire Department and the Doctors, Nurses, and staff and Preston Memorial Hospital for all they did to help Mike.
