Michael Mike William Knottek (68) of Alpharetta, Georgia lost his hard-fought battle to cancer on September 3, 2013. Mike is survived by his loving wife, Sherry; his daughter Kari, son-in-law James Evans, and grandson Cooper; his daughter Lisa and son-in-law Matthew Simpson; his son Michael and daughter-in-law Danielle; and his brother Paul. Mike was born on September 16, 1944 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was raised by his parents, Michael and Alberta, with his sister, Patricia, and brother, Paul. When he was 17, Mike enlisted in the United States Army to serve the country he loved.
