On August 20, 2013 Rev. Michael W. Higgs, Sr., 65, a resident of Severn for 45 years, passed away at home. He was born in Daniels, MD on September 5, 1947 to the late Elwood and Nellie Higgs. He was employed with Reliable Contracting for nine years and was an active member of Severn Community Pentecostal Church. Rev. Higgs loved serving the Lord and had a humble and gentle spirit. He took great pride in helping out other people in need and enjoyed watching Westerns and drinking his coffee.
