Michael Tito Trujillo earned his Angel Wings on Saturday, February 27th, 2021, a week after celebrating his 68th Birthday.
Michael was born in Talpa, NM to Felipe and FortunataTrujillo and was raised in a loving home, along with his eight siblings. Michael spent several years in Rodarte, NMwith his maternal grandparents, Luis and Refugio Duran and his beloved Aunt Faby. Time spent in Rodarte gave him the opportunity to work alongside Grandpa Luis, where he learned a good work ethic and provided him with many cherished memories.
Michael attended and graduated from Taos High School in 1973. Upon graduation he moved to Colorado to work in the mines. While living in Red Cliff, he met a young lady who would change his life forever. Lupita Medina became his lifelong partner and the Love of his life. Mikey and Lupita were inseparable…where one was, the other one was. Their interests included camping, fishing, hunting, snowmobile riding, bike riding, horseback riding, traveling and anything else that came along.
Michael was employed by the Town of Avon for 35 years. He had recently retired in August 2020 and was just beginning to enjoy his time off. Mikey and Lupita had recently been ice fishing and were extremely proud of the fish they caught. Their fishing gear was ready for an icefishing trip on Sunday, but GOD had different plans.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents Felipe & Fortunata Trujillo, brothers Felipe Jr, James and nephew Luis Giron, in-laws Ricardo and Lucia Medina, brothers in law, Abel, Dennis, and his beloved pets, Samantha, and Pinto Bean.
