Michael was born in Greeley, Colorado on October 21, 1968, and completed his earthly journey on February 21, 2022.
He was a 1987 graduate of Canon City High School, going on to graduate from the Colorado Institute of Art.
Michael was a friend’s friend who loved people, art, music, sports, nature, family, and good times. Lifelong friends, family, hiking, biking, and world travel (Costa Rica, Colorado Rocky Mountains, and Pacific Ocean beaches were special destinations) were very important to him.
Michael has taken his final journey.
Michael will be greatly and forever loved and missed by his loving, devoted mother, Lula Maude (Helm) Lohnes; two loving brothers, Calvin (Donna), Rockie (Valerie); and extra special loving sister, Gaylene (Bob); nieces, Alicia and Ashley; and nephew, Zachary. He is also survived by his significant other, Asesis Humbert; a very special friend, Will Colon; as well as many, many lifelong friends.
Michael, we love you! You are forever in our hearts and thoughts being the true gift from God that you were, a Golden Soul.
