Michael S. Gerbase, Jr., 70, of the Forestville section of Bristol, passed away Sunday February 21, 2016 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. He was the beloved husband of Patricia (Bruce) Gerbase.
Michael was born October 28, 1945 in New Britain, a son of the late Michael S. Gerbase, Sr. and Millie (Fazzina) Gerbase. He attended trade school and after finishing his training became an electrician’s assistant. He worked for several area electricians and retired as Plant Operator at The Hospital of Central Connecticut after over 40 years of dedication. He was a member of the Quartette Club in New Britain and a former member of the Bristol Fish & Game Club. In addition, he was an avid Nascar Race fan.
Besides his loving wife, Pat, Mike leaves behind his sons, Michael S. Gerbase III and his wife Regina, of West Haven and Edward Gerbase, of Reno, NV; his step-daughters, Lisa and Gina Delfino; his grandchildren, Timothy, Stephanie, Michael IV, Kyle, Nicholas; his brother Paul Gerbase of Homosassa, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Mike also leaves behind his beloved canine companion, Philmore. He was predeceased by his daughter, Mary Elaine Tarafas and his sister, Frances Genovese.
